Last year I attended the PPI Rendezvous and was a speaker, too. 85 people attended, representing more than 20 disciplines and professions. I came away from the event having caught the excitement of the professionals involved in this collaboration.
What's PPI? From an earlier blog post:
My friend John A Warnick practices law, guiding people in creating trusts and estates. However, he does it in a very different and cutting-edge way, concentrating on more than just the passing on of money and other property. His is a values-based focus. In addition to working with his own clients, he goes around the country helping other lawyers to serve their clients well by achieving that broader perspective.
As part of John A's effort, he has created the Purposeful Planning Institute. From the PPI Web site:
The Purposeful Planning Institute is a unique educational, training and mentoring institute for professionals who are committed to designing purposeful and lasting legacies that integrate the client’s voice, vision, and values, with the technical intricacies of estate and wealth transition planning. Within the Institute we offer various programs to meet the needs of a diverse base of clientele.
In 2011, he began to convene this wise and innovative group of professionals annually. This year the Rendezvous will be August 1-3, in the Denver area. Click for more information. Click for a preliminary list of speakers. I am presenting again this year but have not yet chosen between two topics; as soon as I do, my program description will be added. As I did last year, each morning I also will be leading an attention exercise (a.k.a. meditation).
Thinking of attending? If it's at all like last year, and I expect it will be even better, the event will be worth your trip to our Mile High City.
