OVERVIEW:
The Purposeful Planning Institute is excited to be hosting the first in-person gathering for PPC members! This will be a one-of-a-kind learning and networking opportunity for Collaborators. The event will take place at the Courtyard by Marriott at the Denver International Airport on August 18th - 19th and will feature nationally renowned keynote speakers James E. Hughes, Jr. and Peter White. We will be offering five tracks of break-out sessions each day that will be centered on a variety of topics. These will be interactive sessions that will allow you to interact directly with the Thought Leaders and your fellow Collaborators.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:
James E. Hughes, Jr.
Mr. Hughes is a philosopher of the family and a counselor to families of affinity. He is the author of Family: The Compact Among Generations, Family Wealth: Keeping It in the Family, and numerous articles on family governance and wealth preservation. Mr. Hughes speaks on

Peter White
Peter White is an adviser who specializes in helping individuals, families and organizations understand and overcome systemic problems that are preventing them from achieving their goals. Most of his clients are families with significant investment operations and/or operating businesses. He started doing this work, after practicing law for several years, when he formed International Skye in 1986. His work at Skye involved consulting but was focused mainly on convening members of different families for workshops on subjects like leadership, governance, succession, raising children, generosity, service, and spiritual growth, under the meta-themes community, responsibility and love. He wrote a book on his philosophy, Ecology of Being, which was published in 2006 and he was certified in Integral Theory by Fielding Graduate University in 2009. His presentation at the Rendezvous will be called, "Beyond Lessons Learned."
Overview of Agenda & Breakout Sessions
The PPC Rendezvous will feature at least five separate tracks of peer facilitated break-out sessions. You will decide which topics are of greatest interest to you and can participate in whichever breakout sessions you choose (you are not limited to sessions in one track). We will be pre-scheduling approximately 80% of these breakout sessions. The remaining 20% will be left open and will be decided on at the event by the participants. This will allow us to repeat the most popular sessions and also leave open the possibility for spontaneous topics to emerge at the Rendezvous or in the last weeks leading up to the Rendezvous.
There will be a minimum of 20 separate breakout sessions, topics to be presented include:
Confidence - A Catalyst for Change
Facilitated by Ian McDermott author of "Boost Your Confidence with NLP: Simple Techniques for a More Confident and Successful You"
Health & Wellness - The Fifth Dimension of Family Wealth
A series of individual breakout sessions addressing the subject of health, wellness, quality-of-life decision-making and compassionate care-giving will be facilitated by David Solie, Viki Kind, Chris Sidford and Susan Fox Buchanan. These individuals, who come from medical, legal, and bioethics backgrounds, have been featured as thought leaders on one or more of our Purposeful Planning Collaboration teleconferences.
Purposeful Next-Gen Collaboration
Kristin Keffeler, Alison Comstock Moss, Courtney Pullen and others will be facilitating separate breakout sessions focusing on providing solutions to advisors working with multigenerational families.
Family Culture & Values: The Keys to Navigating Successful Transitions
Facilitated by Gunther Weil. Dr. Weil is recognized throughout the world as an expert and pioneer in the field of values clarification.
Applying Breakthroughs from Neuroscience to Our Service of Individuals & Families
Facilitated by Stephanie West Allen. Stephanie, who is followed widely for her Brains on Purpose blog, is a former attorney who serves in the field of conflict resolution today. She has lectured at the Smithsonian, major Universities and other sites on her passion for applying breakthroughs in neuroscience to our daily lives. Stephanie will also be leading us in a 10 minute meditation to start the conference.
Plus, Preserving Legacy: Creating An Heirloom for Future Generations, Sharing Time: Tools Which I am Using with Great Results, The Art of Blending Families: Suggestions for On-Boarding New Spouses & Step-Parents, and much, much more!
