What a great way to describe yourself! Recall all those times people ask you to submit a bio or a self-description? Here's a new way to fulfill the task. Let me introduce Sharon and then tell you how she responded to such a request.
And after you take a look at what she created, I issue to you a challenge.
First the intro: My friend Sharon Lippincott blogs at The Heart and Craft of Lifestory Writing (an excellent blog). Read more about Sharon and her book The Heart and Craft of Lifestory Writing: How to Transform Memories Into Meaningful Stories here at her Web site.
Now the deed: Sharon was asked to create a description of herself for the Web site of Story Circle Network because she is speaking at their upcoming conference. Rather than doing the same-ol', same-ol' black-and-white page of sentences like "I live in this town with my five snakes and two ferrets and six children and husband of 23 years," she did something very different—very. Click here to take a look (pdf).
Now I challenge you to describe yourself in a similar fashion. What do you believe?
